What's the scoop on the Poulan 3700 CV

I got one for free, actually had to buy a used part to git her running (clutch cover).

Heavy bugger, but seems to run nice, 20" bar and at 66cc I lil bigger than my 028 WB.

First saw I've seen with both a automatic and a manual oiler.

Were these old saws built when the quality at Poulan was still considered good by most?

Just curious.

Yes that's the one...61cc not 66.

What? At 13.5 lbs. that is hardly heavy! Heck, you could cut with one in each hand :yoyo:

One model out of a very successful Poulan line up. It is a good example of some of the better Poulan engineering. A lot of people really really like that family of saws, even today. When one pops up for sale around here it is gone fast. Good saw, easy to work on. and parts can still be had easily.

You got a quality saw. A good design, if old.

Much better than anything poulan puts out today.

People tend to complain that they can't keep the carb adjusted, and it seems to go through rings faster than most saws.
