when i first tryed using a wood coal hetrola
i filled it up with paper clothing wood etc
it burned very hot the stove and the pipe turned cherry red
and i was new to this i later found out i had to close the damper
to reduce the air so it did not burn that hot 1000 1500 degrees or hotter
