Where does it go

I've finally got around to reassembling my poulan 306A and have a spring that I just cant figure out where it goes. I thought it went to the oil pump according to the IPL nope. The pump piston spring that goes behind it is present.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats been rebuilt and installed. I Vaguely remember it falling out when i was disassembling it.

That spring actually looks like an idle adjuster spring but the 306A doesn't have one like that. The other few springs are noticeably smaller and longer.
