I was gonna attempt (again) to advance the timing on my 192T today and decided im just gonna leave it alone(again) lol...not sure what im grinding and how much to grind so just a muffler mod is gonna have to do it.
correct! It doesn't matter how deep you grind its how far across you grind right?
338's are a clamshell not exactly what I consider pro design. Not exactly a power house either.
Did you use the little plastic piston stop that came with the saw?
Yeah i have a Dewalt impact driver.you will need that if you're using hand tools. i use a cordless rattle gun on its lowest setting. don't need the piston stop then.
Tighten the same way.....quick blip?cool .. just make sure its on its lowest setting. if it doesn't have variable settings; just a quick blip with the trigger!

The slot in the flywheel or the key?It couldn't be easier. Just elongate the slot in the flywheel with a square file and crank it up a little! I did mine, the down and dirty muff mod, yanked the limiters and the thing went from total dud to a little screamer.
I did the flywheel because aluminum is easier to file. The slot in the flywheel or the key?
