White Oak foot bridge.

I'm in the process of installing a foot bridge using a 19ft 16in dia. white oak log over a stream. I'm looking for a wood preservative for it. I want it to have a natural finish, no stain. I'm leaning towards cedar oil. I'm having trouble finding it local. What do you all think? Do you have any sugestions of what I can use?

You need to strip the bark off the log with a bark spud or a drawknife then find a good wood preservative in the osmose class that you can brush or spray on. True osmose is applied under pressure. ---Peavey Manufacturing Company - products_logging_tools_bark_spud
