Why does my Stihl MS250 at oiling the bar, oiler hole and bar don't line up either

I noticed that the oiling hole in the stock bar doesn't line up with the oiling hole/passage on the saw at all. I noticed it on my ms271 also . What is the deal with that and is that why all these stihl saws have low oil out put ?

I have an 251 and pole pruner by Stihl and no such complaints. Generally the oiler stuff lines up within the tension adjustment range. Can you oil up the saw in the bar attachment area and get a picture of a silouett on the bar at mid adjustment?

Running the correct bar? Stihl 3005 mount or an aftermarket bar?

I have to check this weekend. I know you can upgrade the oiler on the ms362 with a ms441 or something but can you upgrade any of the other oilers on stihl saws?

The MS250 should already have the higher output oiler.

They oil fine for the bar lengths they are capable of using. That type of oiler is a push in kind, just fits in the hole snugly.
