My MM'd 357 is an excellent saw. Plenty of power for the TechlitIe 20 i run on it.

The 357 is a XP pro saw. Cost more. Higher rpm. Quicker throttle response

The 359 has more displacement by 3 cc but if you're keeping it stock the 357 is the way to go. Modified things start to vary some but both do well. 359 IMHO is the better bang for your buck saw in the long haul.

My choice 562, of the 2, 357. Not a huge difference by the 357 is faster and a little more snot. CJ

The two are very close and the average user would not notice a difference. Can't go wrong either way!

But if both stock, I would want the 357xp. It will have a slight edge...

Or the wonky 199 carb... Didn't some of the 357's come with the HD199??? Easy fix if that's what it was.

My 357 has the wonky 199 carb and no problems. :msp_mellow:

But yes, easy fix if need be.

Broken case,screws that wont stay tight,on off switch wire, leaking oil tank, decompression line(switched back to old style) and coil issues. other than that, it's been a great saw.

I went with 359 since stock is unacceptable. Price difference paid for port work.
