Give me some of the north American winter spirit!
(We desperately need it here..)

Let's see your piles. Let's see your appliances in action. Let's see some fire!

Here is my mediteranean contribution:
The first pic is of a softwood fire.
The third pic is of Hardwood (Olive wood) fire.
The other pics are of next winter's wood piles.

Just got 2 feet of snow . kids love it . im not to sure though :dizzy:

cleaned up my driveway yesterday after our 24" dumping. The worst was going out to the wood pile and clearing it off the tarp so I could get to my wood. Definitely should have stocked up inside before the storm.

My 1/4 mile long driveway has walls now. Especially challenging when the drifting snow fills it up and packs tight. My '78 F250 filled with firewood is still up to the task though. I'd be totally screwed without it.

My dad took fishermen out on Saginaw Bay in the Thumb of Michigan in the 50's and 60's with this machine. He sold it in the mid 60's and bought it back in about 2000. It was a mess, he took a year to fix it back up. He died about a year after this pic! Many memories with it, going out ice fishing!
