Wood Price Survey Time Again

i didn't read through all the posts on this thread but what is cut and split oak going for in the st louis area???? a home owner wants a huge oak taken down,,roughly 4 1/2 feet dia and about 100 ft tall,,we don't really have to have the wood right now so dhibbs75 and i was going to take it down and get it ready and if the price was right in the st louis area we was going to take it up there and sell it,,

Depending on who you are and your product. It goes for anywhere between $125-400 a cord. If you are only going to bring one load it will be hard to get over $275-300 for it.

the 1 load would be about 3 cords though

Most people don't buy full cords here. They buy 1/3 of a cord at a time. So on your 3 cord trip you would most likely have to make 7-9 stops in a 40 mile range.
