My cousin came out and felled his first couple of trees. Here are a couple shots of him in action.

Is this white Oak? The wood was very white compared to the red oaks we normally cut...

This is the Maple that I was asking about in the bucking thread.... Is this shaggy maple? It had a twist split in it... didn't notice till it was on the ground.

Heart and sap wood look like maple???

I'm not tree expert,but that looks like Hickory to me.Nice pics,thank you for sharing!


I'm pretty sure it was a maple... just not sure what kind. I could be wrong, I'm certainly no expert either. Seemed softer than sugar maple.
