I would assume that it would be based on the type of wood, since there is so much variation. A cord of redwood and a cord of oak are pretty different things. But maybe im wrong?
A cord of seasoned mixed species hardwood is gonna weigh about between 4500 -5000 pounds. So for a 16" face cord divide by three. I can easily load an entire cord on my one ton although it does it put me way over the weight rating of the truck but then just about any load puts a one ton over its rating.
A heaping load in the bed, unsplit usually amounts to being about 3/4 to a full cord depending on how tight it is, it's definitely loaded but not dangerously heavy. BTW it's a F-250 Superduty.
