Wouldn't a gas power circular saw

I guess if pure power, speed is your goal, like production work, then you need a powerful circular saw. I use my plain old Dewalt electric circular saw to edge boards if I don't do it in the field, and even on 8/4, it does fine. No you can't zip down the board as fast as you can walk with the thicker stuff, but on 4/4 you can go that fast.
 
Hows the rest of the mill working?
Only cut 2 logs, had a problem with it cutting down hill and it would jump up when it came out of the cut. I added a brace on the outside of the uprights to keep them from spreading, it was cutting level the last cuts. The edger is 6hp with a 12" blade, hoping I can cut 3 3/4" deep to cut 2x4s and cut off with the chain. Hoping I can take a small first cut and then use the edger to make a 1x or2x on the second cut to square up the cant.
