has any one thrown a running poulan at a neighbor?
besides be.
two in the afternoon the dirt bag dose't work came up to the fence and told me to shut the fu@k up, he could not here his tv. i told him it will be at max ten more mins. he said no, i said sorry and went back to work.
the mother throws a rock at me and it misses!! with out thinking as i was turning around i flung my saw at him, with the chain still going i might add the saw hits the fence and pushes out two boards and i'm already there trying to pull that fat f@@K throw the fence while i was telling him what i'm going to be doing to him after i get him throw the fence. too bad he got away

can you tell theres a big back story to this?
he never gave me crap till the day i moved after that

Came close, but it's a good thing I needed two arms to heave my 575 into orbit after the pickup crapped out. Right arm was pretty tuckered after pulling it over almost a bazillion times. The price of equipment usually saves it from a launch due to anger.

On the other hand, while I like to think I'm fairly reasoned and cool, just last week I wasn't very "professional" with my boss. There's something about the man that triggered a proper PO fit (my first) during my year end review even though I've done a good job. Not my proudest moment, but then other guys wished they "explained their differences in detail" as I had. :) I guess I coulda thrown my radio, would have saved marks as the fit still scored fairly low (maybe a 6).

you should see what a remington 7 mag will do to one at 200 yards. I spent a few days fixing a saw , lent it to a freind , he straight gassed it and brought it back .. Long story short that was the lil engine that couldnt .

Thrown saws. yes a lil P>O>S> ms180 carb wouldnt adjust out for crap .

You might call it loss of self control . i call it a temporary fix for momentary insanity .

for those who think its insane , i would rather work round some one who knew how to vent there anger and get it out rather than execute ( self control) ...

I was really close to throwing my Dad's Poulan 2150 last week. Vacationing at his cottage on Drummond Island and Mom wanted some small trees taken out. I pulled that little bugger about 15 times and was close to heaving it into the fire pit. Dad told me I couldn't and I had to remind him that I had given that saw to him about 5 yrs ago.
Long story short, pulled the muffler and limiter caps, drilled a big hole in the muffler, spent about 10 minutes tuneing it. Rest of the week 3 pulls when it was cold and 1 pull warm. Ran nicely the rest of the week.

Perhaps a new form of entertainment at a GTG. Get the heaviest junk powerhead for a "saw-toss" competition. Cool...

not yet , but wanted too several times

I thought about whacking the PP260 & Husqvarna 435 this AM, both were a little cranky, had a 9mm for a hammer, 300 yards from any neighbors, the only
witness would have been my next door neighbors 1/2 pit bull wench
that follows me around, she can't fill out police reports on chain saw abuse,
people are target practicing or hunting anyway; I would have been the
loser.

Dude.......

I've almost flung my Craftsman 1.9/Poulan XX a couple of times. It's a light, handy little bugger that would go quite a distance. Both the auto and manual oilers are about as reliable as a candle in a windstorm. The auto oiler doesn't do much more than dribble, and the manual pump bodies actualy break (check valve seat pops out of its recess) with normal (OK a bit excessive) thumb pressure. Even happened with an NOS pump body that I'd just installed too. Burned up a chain (damn 1/4") that I'd just sharpened. I hate sharpening 1/4"...:bang:

Thumb oiler died at the second pump in a cut that I had to do right then. I was late for work (so I didn't have time to grab another saw) and a good sized downed oak limb was laying accross the driveway, and was still partialy attached to the tree. Had to do the idiot-homeowner ladder cuttin' thing and was cutting at the edge of my reach. When I was done I saw the 'blue' chain and wound up for a mighty throw. IIRC, it was my kid that told me to stop...:ices_rofl:

Since then I've worked out a 'fix' for a crappy disign/materials problem in that thumb oiler, and am swapping the saw to 3/8" LP...

I wouldn't wanna get in a bar fight with anyone who could throw most of my other saws, especialy my McCulloch 77. 29 pounds (at least) without B/C...:D

I threw my Super XL the other day. I was trying to finish up the last few pieces for a load of wood, and got the tip into another log. That thing kicked back on me like I have never seen. It came back so hard it pulled my left hand off the handle, and that's when it bit me. 43 stitches in my left middle finger (it's healing nicely), left pointer and ring fingers should've had stitches but the doc figured they'd get messed up by the dressing on my middle. Luckily, it was only a flesh wound.

People at the ER looked at me funny, since I was all calm, and said "I cut my finger" as I walked in. I was very close to setting a record too...I now hold second place (all-time) for "Most Stitches in one finger."

I would hate to see the first place "record holder"....:D

My first thought was 43 stitches on a finger? man..

An area of expertise for me, so it stood out. Anymore you can do a lot without sutures, and at an average of $100 a stitch there's reason to. I'm thinking you are looking at a volume discount however.

It wouldn't have been that many, but there are three cuts up the finger; which each needed stitched together. Luckily, I have good insurance, so it costs me $125, regardless of the amount of stitches.

The last gash I had around my little finger (not from a saw) was 1 1/4 " around , broke it at the same place for a second time and took 5 stitches to close it up !
I'd hate to see 43 in one finger , I'm glad to hear your (TechAlG) OK !

P.S. Is there a lesson to be learned here ?

ya ever poke yourself in the eye?

ya ever poke yourself in the eye?

It's about the same. :Eye: :crazy1:

I think there's a better way to vent frustration!

A little while back, I figured I could do the world some good by bringing a couple of Mini-Macs back from the dead, I was able to get them both going after tearing them apart about a dozen times apiece. One of them stopped working. That little demon seed is somewhere in orbit above the Earth as we speak. I hate them things, to work on anyhow.

Is it legal?

I have poked myself in the eye with a sharp stick, by the way. As a vagabond in France, camping along the Rhone - every evening we'd head up to the village to drink and throw darts , sit around talkin shtuff. I thought I'd be clever one night and run through the woods, in the dark, racing from the campsite out toward the road to town. boing, right in the eye with a branch. tore a little flap of tissue open, like rent cloth. Hurt like a mother. Hurt all night (hurt for a year). I was in the pub just tearing up and shielding my eye from the light, barkeep couldn't see anything 'have another beer'. Later we could see the damage - found a doctor the next day and got treated proper with socialist medicine. Not sure the French lie it took, I know for the grape harvest I was Eric from Manchester, and the pay was pretty good.

Believe me wholly - I would much rather throw my saw than have a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. I'd throw it all the way to your house and you could keep it for parts.
