The way the rear handle and gas tank is looking on well used pro ones surely doesn't look good - and the cheaper ones surely looks "puky" , much worse than some of the competition....

I guess you never seen a sunburnt Husky , talk about uglyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, they so nasty looking the dog wouldn't cock his leg on one,hehe

Right, you forgot I owned(for a short time) the better looking cousin of the 372, a 2171. That saw was a toy compared to a 440. Sunburnt, LOL. Tell them boys to stay out of the heat if they can't take it.

I believe that mostly can be fixed with some car wax or similar - but the fugly design of the right side of the handlebar on cheaper Stihls surely can't, nor can the discolored "white" rear handle/tanks on the pro ones! :censored:

Germans just don't have any taste, when it comes to design - sort of like the Japs (but not as bad)...

When they make something that looks good, it is just a coinsidence!

Stihl 090 is the sexiest piece of machinery ever.

In keeping with modern built currently available saws, the MS 440 and 460 are hot stuff. Perfect angular lines. 200T is a looker too

Stihl 090 is the sexiest piece of machinery ever.

In keeping with modern built currently available saws, the MS 440 and 460 are hot stuff. Perfect angular lines. 200T is a looker too

The 090 is a 1950s design, the next "lucky strike" was the 024/044/064 in the 1980s - since then there hasn't been any!

Not new sealed in the box, I do have the matching box. It only comes out for pics. I have searched for a sealed one also. Only new power heads are out there now, boxes are long gone.

I voted stihl because personally I think nothing looks better than the boxy looking saws like the 460, 660, or 880.

Some of the old Stihl's looked nice but my favorite would be pioneer

New saws don't look very nice IMO there's nothing beautiful about plastic.

Any new 3 series husky looks great. lol. New 372xtorq is a eye catcher, rather than the 576 top cover

A new 3120 has a wow factor.

MS660 looks good.

The new Stihls remind me of commercial Laundry equipment.

Just very little effort was made to soften the right angles and it shows.

Husky for the most part makes some effort here and there, but could do LOTS better.


Dolmar and JRed played with colors and lines and are way ahead of the game.
I just don't care for either colors..

The old Remmies are sexycool as well as some of the Old Huskys.
Lotsa stylistic effort that is completely lost on todays industrial mindset.
