The "looks" problem with Stihl is that the white plastic soon looks dirty and crappy - and the discoloration is not easy to get rid of!

Yea but that goes with all plastic parts.... I voted for the creamsicles!!!!! I have seen some huskys that look pretty nasty too...

750 homelite is the best looking saw ever made in my book, but i'm with Wiggs, those old remingtons are SEXY !!!

:cheers:

Looks like a 2188 - a real beauty! :cheers::cheers:

A problem with US Huskys is that they too often comes with the "HD" filter/cover, and that surely detracts from the looks....

The Jonsereds are much better that way + the much better looking colors!

Guys, you all have valid arguments but the Pioneer's like Pioneer Guy and Chainsawwhisper have restored are really great looking saws. The Remingtons like Wiggs rank right up there too.

And I don't own either one of these.

Those that vote for Stihl has to be either blind or brand biased - I suspect the latter option! :givebeer:

Wow! is it really going to turn ugly this quickly!? you're right I absolutely am brand biased! but Its come from years of using something and learning to appreciate a "form follows function" sort of beauty....purely subjective and probably based on familiarity as much as anything. Hope this thread doesnt turn into a platform for bashing....theres been some really cool old saws noted so far.

That definately has an appeal to it. I've not gotten much exposure to the Jonsered line-up but the few locals that run them have nothing but good things to say about them. I am not suprised they are pulling in some votes if they all look as good as this one.
