Wow, that thing is gorgeous. It looks absolutely pristine.

Has it never been run or is it "just" a well done restoration?

Believe it or not I picked this up in a pawnshop in this condition except for the nos bar She is a great runner

Some of the old Stihl's looked nice but my favorite would be pioneer

New saws don't look very nice IMO there's nothing beautiful about plastic.

Question about this saw. Is that the fuel tank right behind the bar, or some kind of oil bath for the bar/chain?

Vertical cyl. saws Partner P 70's, P 7000's, 500's, 5000's horizontal cyl. saws Alpina or Castor saws, just like tthose Italian cars they have a lot of style,power, and a sweet engine sound.
