200 Classic Opened

I think some washout engineer from Pratt & Whitney must have ended up at Homelite. The entire saw appears to be able to be taken apart with only a phillips, a T25, 5/15 and 3/8 sockets not counting the spark plug. It's like an F100 engine except a clamshell saw :hmm3grin2orange:

Not positive yet but I think after some cleaning I am going to find out this thing almost looks brand new.

I agree Randy. It's gonna be hard to get any kind of info or answers when "nobody's home".

well it don't bother me none about the ignore list stuff i could care less.but they is one thing i don't have a sorry ass i work everyday just to bring home ends meat and it's still not enough.so enough said lets put everything behind us and call it quits

But Mr. Briantutt i think if you clean it up it will look brand new like the homelite i done it had so much stuff fallen off of it that it didn't want to run.but afther i got it cleaned up it ran like a new again.and i used it yesterday to cut some limbs off a freinds tree and it ran and oiled fine like it suppost to.

200 Classic Primer Wierdness

For some reason this saw has a primer in the handle above the carb and a primer on the fuel tank cap?

From the IPL (and the saw) it looks like the primer in the handle is actually the bar oiler? Does that seem right?

The primer on the fuel tank cap doesn't have any lines attached to it and isn't shown on the IPL.

Maybe I need an owner's manual.

On Homelite.com for this model number it shows something called an "oil valve" in the handle primer spot. It looks like it has a dial, which would make sense because the case has 1, 2, 3, 4 on the case right there.

Figured out the fuel tank primer cap. The IPL on Homelite.com shows it and indeed there is a line disconnected in the tank.

Oil Valve

Here is what I am asking about (circled in red). The saw I took apart just has a rubber capped area with no guts under the rubber cap.

Brian I sure wish I had some info for you...I have never seen one of those saws...I did read about the primer bulb on the tank cap somewhere...I think it was in this thread somewhere.

I think its gonna be a runner...good compression and spark...I have a few parts soaking so hopefully tomorrow.

I am in far north east Texas...lots of trees. Logging is a big industry too.

never played with a 123 --- that's rite there is trees in that area but it is a small corner that's why I didn't remember bean threw their a lot also wen I drove truck
