Oh. Thanks. I don't think I'd be wanting to beat the crap out of that tree with steel wedges though.
Oh come on Bob, be a sport.

Also if you have to use a saw to get it done you would probably mess a chain up with the steel ones stuck in it.

Doesn't look like it'll fall backwards with that huge back wedge felling cut thing & it probably aint going sideways either....rope it and tug you'll see if it's going anywhere...
:deadhorse:
Not yet, I'd make wood ones before i'd stick a steel one in there. No probably to it. You ever see that happen? Think shrapnel.
Is it down yet? :hmm3grin2orange: At this rate it will rot and fall on it's own! :hmm3grin2orange:
I got her for ya.id rep you on that but the site wont let me
I tried repping both y'all (allstihl & Stihl Sawing) but it keeps telling me I need to spread some more before giving it to y'all again.
I hate people making fun of ideas they have never tried. A million people will give all kinds of advice but haven't actually cut down any simlar trees. (I have done so). At least my idea has no drawbacks and is quite safe. (And if anyone is suggesting cutting into steel with a chainsaw...well, if you have that little control over your chainsaw, leave the tree falling to others).
