This thread isn't about Echo???

It's about the 555 having enough power over a 346 to be worth owning... It's not about what is the best 60cc saw.

I know Fish, this thread is only about what fits your agenda. Opinions only matter if you agree with them:). Sorry dude, should I delete my last post?

BTW: The OP stated, "However, I have some bigger wood and would like a saw that will run a 20" b&c that won't brake the bank." So just maybe my post does apply?

There is no agenda here bubba, just answering the OP without getting too far off topic...

Good reading material gents in this 555 thread...if I don't put this damn IPad down now and just walk away, Anheuser Busch will finish off walking and talking me right into 'needing' a 555...or the likes.

You folks are some bad, bad influence...Lol.

Edit...maybe CAD should replace 'bad' above.

555 is in my opinion the best bang for the buck for a homeowner that wants a saw that's built as well as the more expensive pro model. if you want a good price on the 555 just give me a call.

I know you are trying to sell saws, but come on bud. Saying a 555 is "built as well as the more expensive pro model" is really stretching it in my opinion.

You're probably right. Without grey paint on the clutch cover its arguably better built than than the relevant pro model in huskies range.:buttkick:

I guess what you're saying is there's a lot of guys buying XP's that are getting ripped off?
The differences between the 555 and the 2260/560/562 have been discussed at length and Brad even did a thread where he tried each of the 562 parts on a 555 and timed cuts.
It's no secret that a 555 is a detuned 560, outside of cookie cutting I believe it has a little better low end torque and may suit some users better than 562. I'm not that person and I'll happily pay for the xp version. (And if I bought a 60cc Echo it would be a 620 rather than a 590).

I think Reed said it well over on the Echo thread when discussing his 555 hybrid which runs stronger than a new 555 (think it has a 562 topend):

"Honestly, the 555 hybrid is a good saw, but not as good, for me, as the 620. The 555 would make a better small limbing bucking saw as the 620 has way more pulling power, better handle, more aggressive dawgs, better at noodling/discharging saw dust and just stouter then the 555 if that makes sence. I did all the cutting/felling/bucking today with the 555, it is a great saw to have in the 'tool box' but the 620 is my go to."

Just because they are both 60cc doesn't mean they are direct competition.
That 620w weighs the same as a husky 372, stihl 044. There are situations it matters, and others where it doesn't.
NYH1 said he wanted a lighter saw than his husky 365. The echo is not that saw, no matter how hard you push the bandwagon.
Add to that the fact the saw will be left stock, it just gets harder and harder to see the echo as a sensible choice.

I don't know you and you must definitely not know me, but you might want to know a little more about the subject before calling me out. your remark is a joke and shows your lack of knowledge on the subject. you may want to do a bit of research on the 555 and 562 differences or lack there of... I would school you in the in the minor differences but there is page upon page on this site explaining it over and over so try the search function out.
