Questions?

The MS211 would be my choice, like some other members have said.

I have one and like everything about it. Light weight and easy to handle, and cuts like a bigger saw. Latest technology out too, if that matters.

You are not going to choke on 2 stroke fumes off this little baby, because it don't put none out.

How much does the MS211 go for?

Stihl MS260 because it has more than enough power for say 16"-18 wood, and its fairly lightweight too with a 16" bar..

Another cool, lightweight, little powerhouse is the 339. I was quite surprised when I first ran one earlier this year. I hadn't run one of the smaller Huskies in that series since the old-school 335s we had when I worked for the state here back in 2002. The 339 is expensive for a little saw like that but it's well built and feels like a small pro saw.

Hey Gal,
get the man to get you a 026 Stihl and mod the muffler tune it up and go to it. It's small light and a real little monster. My wife runs ours it pulls a 20" bar and is a dream to run all day.

Well here is the deal, he said any kind I want as long as it is a stihl,, but I bet I can convince him of another type if needed. I can handle a gas powered weed wacker for about 6 hours before my arms want to drop off... I will probably not cut anything larger than about 12 inches. Cutting limbs (not mine or his) and small trees. Mostly clean up work. Does that help?

From the original question it just has to be a Husky 346xp, there is no Stihls that are even remotely comparable! :D

ne346XP may be the greatest 50cc saw ever
ms361/ms362 the greatest 60 cc saw ever,
take your choice.

You forgot to add xp behind the 361 - as you should know they stole most of the design from Husky - it is the Husky that Husky forgot to make, as the paperwork was stolen by a Belgian that visited the factory and handed over to Stihl on his way home to Belgium (old story on here)! :D:rockn::rockn:

Btw, that Belgian just bought a new NE346xp, even though he has a MS361xp and a MS200 + a huge collection of other saws.......:popcorn:

Alright! my two cents that should be looked at as less then a penny!

Stihl 260 pro

if larger MS 361 C-Q (easy start, and second chain break system)

if smaller (make him splurge) Stihl MS 200 T

And the accessories
your own mix tank
your own case
your own chains
your own wrench

Go big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I missing something? I know there's no love for the MS250 here, but for $20 or so more than the 211 it's got almost a full horsepower more and .325 chain while only adding 1/2 pound.

I like the Husky 350's, which is now the 450. Great limbing saw, and has enough power to cut any smaller trees (12" or so). Also easy on the pocketbook at $370

Ropennote: rope you need to try to rep saw troll for his info on the cancer curing stihlsky clone, story well deserves some rep <a href="http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&lpver=3&ref=11" target="_blank"><img src="http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/00020472.gif" border="0" title="Click to get more." ></a>

I have carried his 660 with a 36 inch bar to the pickup and I would not want to use that for long at all. It's way to heavy for me! I need something like the weight of my gas weed wacker that I can use for about 2 to 4 hours without killing my arms and back. It am leaning towards the 190 or 200 but I am open to your thoughts. Thank you

He said any saw of your choice as long as its a Sthil. You want light weight, the MS200 rear handle is the saw for you. Its the perfect saw where you can use it all day and the weight won't bother you at all. Wait till you tell him thats the one you want, only around $620.00. He'll cringe but you hold him to what he said........
