minor muffler mod

My ms460 muffler discharge port seems kinda smallish, without going too a dual port can the existing port be inlarged? Looking at it from the side its even with or slightly behind the deflector and would like to keep it that way. Was thinking maybe using a smally rotary file and oval shaping it by cutting some from the bottom and top ending up with an oval shaped port thats still behind the deflector. any thoughts?

ha ha lol seems like you could grind that hole open a bit more and it will help some or buy the dual port. but thats probly not hapening huh?

well its eaiser too take it out than put it back so i may buy the cover. just messin with lake. LOL

It's actually easier to enlarge the DP cover slot than the muffler hole anyhow. There is no magic about "two ports"..

so do you guys do any mods to the baffle inside the muffler the one covering the exhaust port? seems like that would need to be modded as well.

Sometimes, but it actually makes little difference.
