Need advice on using a long bar

The job on the fir tree went OK yesterday, here's a few pics. People say that you have to be careful when cutting these shrine trees, accidents and strange things happen. I don't know whether to believe it or not, but after making sure a couple of times that the 090 was starting OK the day before, and that morning (think the carb can use a new diaphragm), the pull rope snapped when starting the saw the last time before doing the back cut. I ended up cutting with the 088 and 42" bar, which went fine. The tree was a hundred and fifty years old, with a bit of rot in the stump....it's time was due. The woman living next to the shrine said she was so happy now that her house won't get crushed. :rock: The sun came out and it was a good day's work. Cool job.

That's a little Zelkova tree to the left of the shrine entrance, and a few of the locals standing around the fire.
