Husvarna 353 or 346, and why--your personal thoughts are appreciated
The money is burning in my pocket already opcorn: .
especially when they cut like an MS440.
You never ran a 440. I timed my stock 440 in the same log and it ran 11.0.
:arg:Where are the 2153, 5100 and 260?:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:
LOL, I have not seen it kick a 361's arse yet............
a stock 046 handed that 346 it's arse(as it should).
I want a reliable, forgiving ssaw, and was worrried that the 346 might not be, as some have written that the 353 has greater power range (nice torque), while the 346 has a narrower sweet spot.
Like I said, this poll picks the saw....so far the 346XP is kickin butt.

I was faced with this decision early last week.....the 5100 was the only other saw I really considered, and the price difference wasn't enough to sway me from the NE346xp.
That saw rocks! After the first day on the jobsite I asked the guys if there was anything they didn't like about it. "Yeah", they said, "We only have one of them."
i think you dealer in confusing the old 346 with the new 346. the power is anything but narrow. i have never run a 353 but what i have read/heard from owner/operators of both is the 50cc 346 have more power at every rpm, revs up faster, have a wider powerband and outcuts the 353 by a good amount.
the 50cc 346 should last longer than the old 346 because it has a limited coil and turns less RPM's.
you will not be happy with yourself if you get the 353, maybe if you didnt find this site you would be OK with the 353.
