No spacers needed fpr the Stihl

And they are available in .050, .058 and .063 but they are all priced differently

The .050 is the lowest cost and they average $ 1 extra each gauge size wider
 
You pretty much nailed it, and it's exactly the same deal with the high dollar mountain bike market. However, swinging a 32 inch bar around all day that weighs a few ounces less is a lot easier on the wrists, elbows, and shoulders.

Oh I can surely agree, if I was Olympic athlete or similar. Ounces are not worth that kind of money. I would be much better of focusing on losing 5 , 10 or 15lbs off my frame over all then spending a 100 bucks to save a few ounces. Healthier too!

Lot easier jumping around logging with 10lbs off your gut then a couple of ounces of saw.
