Been talking about a GTG for a couple of years, Thinking of the last Saturday in September (26th).

Likely mess around with a few gas work saw classes and then some anything goes classes. I'v got lots of clean round poplar bark on, but not the time to do up square cants.

Maybe some cross cut, bow saw and axe throwing too.

About 1/2 an hour west of Ottawa Ontario

Wish I could make it Brian, even though I'd get my arse kicked. I've been out of the loop so long. It would be a slice though to attend.
John

Yup, Your'e a good time John. I imagine there will be a few old faces, but already sounds like there could be some new ones too.

Why so far away Brian, cant you make it closer to Indiana?????? :jester:

To far for me right now I'm afraid, and I'm still contemplating doing something here that weekend or the next.

Wish I could make it though... heck I'd come up empty handed just to meet the man and hang out a while.

Bumpity bump....

Just wanted to put this back on the first page for Brian, I'd really like to see this thing come off so we can check out the pics and videos.

Never had any problem at the boarder with saws, just tell em you going to a lumberjack event.

Need a passport these days though.

as it gets closer I'll can be more definite. Opening day of duck season ya know...
Have a few more of Ed's saws in my quiver, some have never been run. Just waiting for a good chain and I'll be good to go.
jeff

Playinwood, fire that grinder up and get making chain... Duck... too much work picken 3 lb of lead out of 2lb of duck. Did I tell bout the time I tried to BBQ a couple ducks? Bit of a propane enhanced grease fire.

Would be good to see you up, just go out for the daybreak, hunt then come on up lunch time.

Thinking just start messing arround about 10am then start about noon.

Work saws, pump gas, muffler, no cut off heads, must stand up to a wood pile test. Cut a bunch of cants, set saw down have the chain stop spinning, bottom line is it's a usable work saw.

Then anything goes
<51cc
<65cc (if there are saws and time)
<81cc
<140cc
Unlimited

Vintage saw class too? 1970s or older, pump gas visually standard motor with no work allowed to the chain chassy.

Vintage hotrod, same 1970s or older but anything goes for fuel and chain.

Send me a PM if anyone is planning to come and I'll get you dirrections.
