    Selling bundles to grocery store

I always thought that would be a "Gold mine" or on the other side of the coin "You gotta be crazy" to pay that for a few sticks of split oak???? I'm just say'in!!!!

Glad I burn wood & not pellets

I've always wondered about the SOL thing too with pellets. My brother had a corn stove for yrs. but he didn't run it this season? I hate being at the mercy of a manufacture's supply and demand:(

    Splitter only running on Choke

Too lean a mixture somehow....dirty/clogged jets or sucking air into intake somewhere????

Found a hidden suprise inside some bur oak :-(

I've seen that same black discoloration around deeply imbedded barbed wire too. It turns a pretty good size area of wood black from leaching or oxidation I guess? I've been pretty lucky to avoid metal objects except in a property line big mulberry tree that sure dulled my chain quick!!!!:(

lesson learned: i will never never burn black walnut again

I'm with you 100%, I just cut down one that's been dead for several yrs. All the outer sap(white ring) is pretty much gone and it splits like a dream and burns good right there with black cherry, most of the denser(not doddy?) elms, hackberry, etc. I'm grateful for it!!!!!:D

Show me your homeade woodstove blower

I had one of those from Menards about 6 yrs. ago and was pretty proud of the thing & concept till it quit working (too much heat) and later found out that the air was moving naturally almost as fast as with the "Ecofan" so I'd rate it as an "interesting novelty" at best?? I'd buy a "real...

7 tenths of a cord the hard way.

Probably blood thinners or maybe the exertion of running chainsaw bent over????

7 tenths of a cord the hard way.

We still know "how to" do it too:D

    gotta keep em seperated

I grew up with just huge tossed up piles of wood, no stacking and no way sorted? I do stack all my wood now, that's about all the OCD that I indulge in my firewood categorization;)

    Just 12 days...

Had upper 50's Saturday, that was the best we'll see in awhile. Cut down a big dead elm tree yesterday, for something to beat cabin fever?? Winter's getting kind of "Old & Waaaaay Over stayed it's welcome" like an unwanted house guest!!!! Good riddance for sure

********WHAT AGE DID YOU FIRST START USING A CHAINSAW????

I think that's pretty cool that your Dad & Uncle are still working on & fixing things and that your Uncle is still cutting & hand splitting that wood at 73!!!!!
