yeah, i screw on the high .... its a three handed method, one hand has the silicon gun, one hand the screw gun, the last hand feeds the screws...... it is difficult and time consuming,but, i do think a dash of silicon is the way to go.....just saying.

thanks for the comments guys. I always pull from the butt end, that log was just one that was just laying there, used it for a test. And i drop and buck whenever i can, just that sometimes the only way out is to skid the tree to the closest trail.... take care EH..

Hamish: when i got the ll24, it was based on what i would mill..... on the 160 acres, the average DBH is 20'', therefore a big mill would be a NO GO... so far, i have had only 1 prob with the ll24...( clutch issues ).Norwood supplied a new and, better clutch without any hassle. I have no need...
