Both the pistons I have that I compared are both flat tops, the 61 piston is an aftermarket one if that makes a difference.

Ok I started a new Thread. The 262 and the 61 have the same 48mm bore, so far I have put a 365 piston into a 61 and got 180 Psi compression and on an old L65 I put a 61 piston into it bumping up the compression to 180 as well, both saws run great.

Hello I know this an old thread but have a question about the 262. If I used a Husqvarna 61 piston in a 262 would it work? I compared the two pistons and noticed the 61 piston is a tiny bit taller then the 262 piston. Has anyone else tried using a 61 piston in a 262?

I used a black unlimited coil but probably could have used a blue coil too. The second screw mount was to hold the coil back from pivoting towards the flywheel, I didn't want to try to weld a nut to the existing coil so came up with this idea. Seems to work good hasn't moved, and that stuff on...

Hello I know this is an old thread but today I made a Husqvarna 365 coil fit on a pioneer P61. Just slotted the one hole in the center of the coil towards the coil itself and made a piece work for the second mount. It works great and runs good. Way cheaper then trying to find the original coil...
