    Central Boiler vs Nature's Comfort

I have a Nature's comfort NC175. While I am satisfied with it, i will also say that it is not near the quality stove of a Central Boiler. Central Boilers hold a lot more water, insulated better and just simply designed better. They cost more $$$. My Natures Comfort is a very simple stove. I've...

Shaver Improvement Forum.... one year later

Same problem with my Natures Comfort. a while back I awoke at appprox. 2 am with nature calling. I always check my temps when I awake in the middle of the night and this time it was 30 low. Put on my jacket, went out and thought it was weird that the fan wasn't running. Solenoid had the damper...

    OWB Door Seal

Does anyone have a good source for large fiberglass rope door seal? I'm thinking it must be 1" or better. My dealer is having a tough time getting it from the Manufacturer. (Nature's Comfort) Any help would be appreciated!

Position of Water Feed and Return Lines.

My assumption would be for circulator protection in the event of a leak. If the boiler system developed a leak you would have more time to realize the water was low before the pump cavitated and burned up. Funny you don't see low water cut off devices in OWB's. My main boiler loop in the house...

    newb from the U.P.

Hey Josh. Welcome to a great information sharing site! I've done quite a bit of deer hunting just down the road in Bark River as most all of my Dad's family is in the Escanaba / Gladstone area and my wife is from Munising. I actually live near Ann Arbor, (Yes I'm a Troll) but I would move up...

    log splitter for homeowner

Splitter I also have the Troy Built 27 ton (MTD) splitter. I found it lightly used on Craigslist for $900. Had to drive into the city to get it, but it looked show-room new!! Couldn't be happier. I also modified mine with a table to hold pieces waiting to be split again. I just recently run 5...

    Ideal wood hauling trailer

Love My Dump!!! 14' with drop axles. Rated for 12000 but weighs in empty at 3000 which gives me a 9000 payload. Makes my 350 grunt when she's loaded up! I'm showing off for the camera in the first pic. The battery that came with it was kind of a joke, but I put a NAPA Tractor / Bus Battery in...

    Shaver Improvement Forum

I have the Natures Comfort and really like it!! I ended up using 2" blueboard up against the bottom of the water jacket as well as a skirt. Made a huge difference. I want to get the metal for the outside of the skirt just for looks. I went away from Shaver when they kept jerking my dealer...

    death of mich man update

I heard on the radio this A.M. that the gentleman who died left 500,000 to the local hospital. According to his nephew this was money that he had in his savings account. I'm in no way defending the utility company, but it sounds like this guy's family should have been more involved in his...

    Shaver Improvement Forum

I'm not sure what it's insulated with. I know there has to be something in there because it is cool to the touch. The boiler holds temp fine. I get more than 12 hours on a load whereas my brother gets 24 on his heatmore. I check it every 12 but there is always a good amount of wood left. I don't...

PICS of NCB Door..... Let me know if you need any more. The wrap looks to be a stamped piece and the weld seam must be under the door seal rope. Tapered and about 4 inches thick. Very heavy duty and never hot to the touch. Big A$$ opening too!!! I have no problem loading and playing "tetris"...
