Huskee 22 ton 6.5 HP log splitter

All splitters with two stage pumps are going to slow down. That is the nature of the type of pump.

Huskee 22 ton 6.5 HP log splitter

Horsepower has not much to do with the force. The force is a factor of max psi that the pump produces and the cylinder volume/size. Obviously you need enough horse power to turn the pump but beyond that you are not adding tonnage by adding horsepower.

    Harbor freigth wood splitter arrives

Like I said after your other quote, I would seriously look at the Huskee from TSC. From everything I hear from some friends that have them, they are the most bang for your buck. Assembled here in the USA too, not shipped in a crate from China. Good luck!

    Log splitter problems

The only way that that size of the reservoir woud cause a massive back pressure/heat like your experiencing is if the reservoir was completely full, or had no way to breath as the fluid expanded (heat) the reservoir needs at least about three inches at the top to breath. If that is not the...

    Log splitter problems

The excessive pressure is probably being caused by the filter itself. The filter base that was installed probably did not have a proper bypass valve or was installed backwards so the bypass valve gets slammed shut. You either need a large 22 gpm or more filter (about the size of a folgers can)...

Who Uses Their Log Splitter Vertical?

Most of the good splitters have some littler wood stripper tabs welded to the side of the beam to remove the wood if it is stuck.

27 ton TSC splitter locked up warranty hassles!!!!

Another problem is that the extended warranty they sell at TSC stores is always some other company who didn't make the product giving you that warranty. It is a company who litereally sells warrantys for products they know nothing about. Combine that with the fact that most TSC employees know...

    Huskee Splitter hydro leak

I think the pumps just have a seal around the shaft of the pump.

    Fastest/most productive splitter

What does the motor have to do with cycle time? The only thing that determines cycle time is how much fluid the pump is moving when not under load combined with the volume of the cylinder taking in account the displacement of the rod on the return stroke. Unless you are talking about idling...

Log Splitter - How Many Tons is Enough?

Do you know what their pressure relief was set at? Some mfg. set it at 3400 psi which is well above the 2500 previously stated.

    Fastest/most productive splitter

I believe they around 14 seconds down and back and empty.

    Yes, you can buy happiness

It may be faster, but I don't see $3200 worth of compnents on there. It is a couple of large steel wheets and a motor, frame, and wedge basically...
