    How many cords do you think??

    There is a guy that I am going to be getting a load of wood from. His dump trailer is 14X7 with the metal mesh extension side on it which im thinking are about 4 feet high. hes going to be delivering pole length wood on it cut to 14' long. How many cords do you think will come on it?

    Elevator Chain????

    Hi, My elevator/ conveyor chain broke and im having the hardest time figuring out how to get these damn links aparts. It is #55 Detachable Chain i got the tool with it but what the heck...... Im twisting the links for so i can get the pieces aparts but do i pry or hammer or what....? Thanks

    Conveyor Trough

    Few Questions for the experts out there! 1) Can I use UHMW Plastic for the trough? 2) Right now the chains yes 2 of them one on each side of the flight bar. They ride in a little trough themselves. If i was to lay plastic UHMW across the entire trough would the chain for some reason go off...

    Nylon UHMV Final Thought...... And right now the chain rides in a little troff itself but if i was to put nylon on i would just run it flat over the entire surface leaving no more troff but with the chain having sprockets at both ends it should still stay aligned right? Thanks Everyone!!

    I agree about the pictures. I am thinking of also laying down like a thin plastic liner on the tray itself to help with the friction and rubbing, so basically the paddles will be plastic paddles with be hitting against the plastic tray. And i am HOPING that this heavy duty plastic will hold up...

    Is there any reason why I cant fabricate my own flight bars out of heavy duty nylon plastic sheeting like 3/4" think piece? Because I got a used conveyor but the flights bars are all Fubar! and I also am going to shorten the whole unit down to 24' or 16' Im thinking 16' is plenty long...

    I dont understadn why but Super Splitter let their patent expire. Tractor Supply came out with one for about 1300.00 and its alreadt recalled. Super split is the only one that can really make these well. Plus customer satisfaction thro Paul is awesome!

Wherre he will be unloading there are no lines at all it is just the initial pulling into my driveway...

    Thanks everyone very much. I hooked the 1hp motor up last night it seems to run pretty well. I have the motor shaft has a 2" pulley on it and the driven shaft has a 7" pulley on it, seems to work out pretty well.

    Hey so after looking on the internet i found a RPM to pulley conversion chart and wow 3450 is way to fast, but my father just found in the midst of all his stuff! 1/2 hp 1725 rpm will this work?? And what should the rpm for the Driven Pulley be? 300rpm...?200rpm..? thanks everyone!

    Hey guys someone gave me an electric motor to use on my elevator heres my dilema: 3hp 120v 20A motor 3450 RPM. Thats way to fast soooo.....what do i do to get my griven pulley down to 200 RPM is that to slow or that right speed for a firewood conveyor. Thanks Guys!!
