    Thanks Racer. Was thinking about side loading when asking. Lately I've been using also a steel quick link in the spliced eye attached to the rope with a prusik. For the prusik I use a kevlar split tail. Use to do this also with my lanyard while pruning lateral branches when I need a better...

    I've been asked to remove these three Cedars near an excavation area. They have been digging very near the trees, you can see the roots comin out. Trees seem to be still stable, but ...who knows? soil doesn't seem to be that much stable in the first meter...would you climb them or...
