I have a clean stock 460. I flooded it today. Removed the spark plug and dried it with compressed air. Now when I try to start the saw it has a nasty kick back and jerks the rope out of my hand. I turned the saw over a few times with the plug out--maybe not enough times? Suggestions please.

I have always used Oregon chain 21BPX072G. However the chain is now identified on the pack shown by a supplier as 21BPX 072CK. Is this the current version of the same chain? Specs seem the same, 72 links, .325, .058.

I run Oregon BPX on your saw and bar in dirty conditions and it works reasonably well. However no chain will eat dirt. I think the main thing is to touch up the sharpening often. You can do it in less than 5 minutes. You do not need a perfect sharpening job in dirty conditions--just touch up...

Help a novice with some questions. I understand the issues of the height of the back cut and depth of face cut. What are the advantages of boring the start of the back cut thru the face cut rather than parallel with it? Why cut the strap below the back cut rather than above?

Yes it is a .325 x .063. I sold the .026 for parts and the husky is an .058. I probably need to just sell the bar and chains--would like to have given it to the neighbor. Thought it was possible there was an adapter, but not surprised that there is not.
