    Want to Buy 12x24 8ply

Yup, need one. Can be completely bald, so I assume cheaper, , just no gashes or tears. I'm rubbing tubes and chains, so I don't care of bead sealing or traction. Im out in grand Rapids MI area. Ill drive 200 miles.

    Carb issues

Spoiler, not a chainsaw. Chrysler 318. Timing is splitting a hair dead on, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, vacuum advance works, condenser,.buffed points. I ordered a China 2 barrel factory like replacement carb. When really working it hard I get nasty yellow flash Bombs out the carb...

    Firebox Material thickness

About to copy and paste before sending to a cnc laser. I was going to use 16g 304 and lots of cross tubes for water. Set that mess inside another 304 16g box with liner supports. Stainless couplers. Done. Fab up a water cooled stainless door, done. Yes, it's all planned to be stainless...

    Measure standing lumber

Lots of pencil straight popular. Nice taper, alot 20+ at the stump. Is the international scale the most accurate for clean trees selectively chosen to cut? Next weekend id like to go for a walk about and actually add up what's decent and discuss with the mill before going hog wild with the...

Allis Chalmers wheel loader ~ 1 yard machine

Yeah. Old faithful. Early 70s. It's had some good hacking and whacking to keep it going . But I'm chasing a leak down on the power steering, which is tied into the same circuit as the clutch packs. Before those start slipping, what oil should I be using? I read c1 automatic transmission...

    New 395xp

Just delivered. Assembled the bar and chain. Bought some fresh mid grade. Sloshed some 50:1, give or take a few drops. Won't fire. Has spark, getting fuel, as plug smells and is damp, and vapor coming out of exhaust. Removed plug and pulled to dry out chamber. Tried different plug. Even...

    Roots and concrete = anger

Yeah, what the title says. Should I just lay down pea stone or trim roots back and rescreed? Between the house and the sidewalk is some pvc for poop... Cutting roots seems it'll kill 2 birds at once. Opinions? Camera lens is blurry on one side, need to get around to replacing it.. $4...

    Solid nose bars

No one locally supplies them, and claim they're no longer being manufactured. I find it hard to believe. Can fellow arborists prove them wrong? I need a few solid nose bars. I do a lot of nose cutting, and roller bars split or wear ridiculously. Prefer Oregon Sent from my S-Off'ed...

    Oregon quality down the pooper?

I've been buying Oregon for quite some time. Maybe 15 years. This past couple years, in my opinion, has gotten garbage lately. Chain doesn't keep an edge after like 3 trees., and sharpens ridiculously fast on the dremel. I pieced together some stuff from the 60s I had laying around just...

    Gerotor vs geroler

Yeah, hydraulic motors. I figured a 2 shaft is identified as a gear pump, while a single shaft is typically a motor. Well, I have some odds and ends on the bench, and I know one is a twin shaft gear, so I'm going to assume it's a pump, the other 5 I have are single shaft, I'm assuming...

    2 stage pump question, again

8hp Briggs on a 16gmp 2 stage. She putts pretty good around 650psi on the high flow stage, but when tripped into high pressure, engine about near free wheels like there's zero load., even @ 2000 psi. I think this pump is 2-3gpm on the high pressure bore. I'm not sure without digging #s...

    Wild hydraulic pump idea...

Built our own loader. Heavy front loader, heavy axles, blah blah. Had a flat heat Ford, converting to a ford I6, dad had it terrible hillbillied with power steering pumps. Ugh. I was going to be wild, but not that ridiculous. I was going to buy a 2 stage 16gpm and bypass the 2nd stage...

    5th wheel tongue

Scored a 5th wheel tongue , just tongue. Unfortunately it's 10" c channel, not I beam. Uprights, and the run to ball hitch/down post Question, if I was to finish boxing the c channel with 1/4 plate, shouldn't that be comparable with strength of 10" I beam? My trailer is an ugly tongue...

    Cb unlock controller

As title says. Buddy built his own stove, and his dwyer is unlocked and he can change the temp difference. According to dwyers data sheet, unlock code and I could do the same. Summer time 10 degree difference is too long and snuffs itself out., no matter how long I go. Just too much water...

    Pickup filter/sock

16gpm. 2 stage. Atf fluid. Accidently burned a hole trying to burn crud a 8x4/12 stainless filter with a 1.5" pipe fitting.... 1/2" hole or so. I guess is a pickup sock needed? With a open cleaned tank, sterile system, is an in line spin on filter enough? I guess I could try and goober...

    Gas or diesel

Driving daily, 65 mile round trip. Ford aspire, manual, 42/46 on a good day. No payments, pl/pd. Hard to find parts, only reason I'm considering ditching it. Should I step to a jetta diesel w/manual gearbox? Or bandaid this aspire? I can do my own engine/transmission work. The...
