I went into the local Stihl dealer, and all they had for flat files were made in India. The round ones were still from Germany, and not too bad at $2 each. What's a good source for flat files? The one that came with my Stihl filing kit is pretty terrible as well.

I have no issues with the husqvarna flat files, they are fine and don't take much off, but usually I keep up on my depth gauges so it isn't necessary.

Other than that Gorbet makes some nice files

I like husqvarna or save edge. I get 'em off fee bay.
