Just picked up a nice PM700. Really clean and runs strong. Has the original 18" Mac bar and what MAY be the original chain. Oregon 370 LG? Low kickback chain. Plans are for a 28" bar and skip tooth.
The oiler works, but doesnt sling much oil off the bar at all. Wouldnt be nearly enough for the long bar. Any helpful tips on adjusting? Never had to do this on any of the 1010s.

You can adjust the bolt/nut on top of the auto oil pump for more flow. I believe you unscrew the bolt but you need to double check w/ the mac masters such as Mark/Lee. Auto oil pump is inside oil tank, 1 screw and your at the pump. Drain oil first... Maybe ask in mcculloch sticky if no help here. Nice saw, always wondered how it compared to P/m 55, 60, 850

Thanks for the advice. Doesnt look to be too hard to do. I'll check to see if theres any kind of formula to it, ie, 1/4 turn = x amount. Maybe just trial and error.
