The fellow I got this from evidently wanted some IEL love for his Holiday..., or wanted to pretend it was a Homelite. A shame, actually. Nice little saw otherwise. You can see remnants of the cream/beige it should look like in the last pic. Would be nice to restore it to some degree of dignity one of these days.

Went after a 1073 this AM. From the outside, it looked used. Not so much. When I was "cleaning" it the paint was falling off. Handle and case front are bare metal. Can't have anymore than a handful of tanks through it, though. The internals were stored well, as the original kit was still supple. New line in the tank and it fired right up. Pull cord and spur like new. Sounded pretty good for a Sunday morning.

I see the provision for the tensioner in the clutch cover. IPL calls for the tensioner on the 2073 but not the 1073? I gather one tensioned by hand on these (covers) models.

Had the 14-20 out for a fine tune and a couple cuts yesterday, WOW my ears are still ringing!!, love'n this series of Pioneers.....:rock:View attachment 659500
That muffler looks offensive to the ears! Reminds me of a Homie C52 muffler. My 14/20 has a different style muffler on it and a full wrap . Does the primer on yours still work?

Yours looks pretty sweet!, I have another with full wrap and the same muffler as yours, waiting on some small parts to complete it...no, the primer was shot like most, that pic was from just before replacing it, here's a pic with the new primer sitting next to a 14-50 that I also replaced the primer on,IMAG0572.JPG IMAG0608.JPG and a pic of the other 14-20.
