so in another post I was looking for ideas for how to get the worn out metal starter ring out of my stihl 08. So I filed 2 notches to get a section out and I was successful in getting this old metal starter ring out.
So now I go to install the new plastic one and it is to big. The listing said it was for a 08s and was 5 bucks and the one for a 08 was metal and 10 plus shipping.
So what I would like to know, is they’re a difference between the 08 and 08s flywheel. I watched a couple of YouTube vids of guys replacing the plastic rings, they replaced plastic for plastic.
