make saws with power outputs comparable to other brands of saws? For a company that claims to be the premier saw manufacturer, isn't it embarrassing that Dolmar offers two different models with almost a cult following and superior power to weight ratios? Is it not embarrassing that Dolmar is competing against Stihl with a fraction of the dealer network and support?

I have not seen ANY Dolmars in the logging community.

Well, you will always see more Toyotas than Lincoln's, always more DeWalts than Milwaukees and always more JD's than Kubotas, it's kind of one of them things, just because something is the most popular doesn't make it the best.

Uh yeah it kinda does...

I said it before and I will say it again. The Stihl crowd is just like the JD crowd. Their product can do no wrong, their engineers are immortal gods and everything their company makes has had the Midas touch, while their competitors make products that out-perform them in every aspect, including price.

Now don't get me wrong I love all saws I even want a 7900,But I really don't consider Dolmar a threat to Stihls world domination especially with their lack of dealer support.

Whatever. Stihls outlast other saws. Tough and durable is more important than short term hi performance, except at the drag races

I dislike the chinese carb on the 200T

nobody is an immortal god

Difference is stihl has their selling and dealer act together...Dolmar is pathetic at best. I own a Dolmar 7900 and its a great power saw, although the quality isnt that of Stihl. Yes, I can say that, because I own and USE both brands. My 7900 leaks more bar oil than I use, my stihls dont, any of them. My 026 pro has been a winner since the day I got it. Quit your baseless stupidity and gather some real information before you run your keyboard. You really do make yourself look bad.

Yeah, they need to be tough and durable to sit up on shelves like they do so skillfully. :)

<Quality> Been answered several times. Grab a clue. Im done wasting my time on you Space. You have no basis here. You are a forum instigator, not a legit chainsaw enthusiast.

No need to follow when you are leading. Why change a proven line up cause Dolmars have a hit. With a better dealer network they could possible provoke Stihl to fire back but for right now I don't think they are worried.

Pretty sure Stihl has the technology to make a competing saw if they were really bothered by Dolmar,Husky as well.

So, you're saying that Stihl is not concerned with making a better saw, but only concerned with making a saw that won't encourage people to take a better saw with a poorer network?
