Bricks inside big maple

Cut this huge maple down by the house, found this while grinding the stump down.

Nice cut, some times ya get lucky and find stuff. Grab a file or 2. I have 4 chains dull from a silver my buddy flush cut. He's so hard on my equipment.

My buddy with a tree service said he has seen this alot old timers used to think
if a tree had a hole in it the bricks would help it grow . It is more comon
than i ever thought after talking to him.
