The Stihl bashers hate to admit which is the better product, Stihl isn't at the top just 'cause they can be there, their products are hard to beat.

Here's the thing, 2K, and you can't get around this.

Who makes my saws? Jonsered.
Trimmer? Kawasaki.
Edger? Kawasaki.
Blower? Toro and Stihl. (Listed in order of quality here.)
Cultivator? Mantis

Now, Jonsered makes all those things...why didn't I buy from them?

Simple. Except in the case of the blowers, I went with the best product available. Brand names can be important, inasmuch as you want a quality name to stand by your purchase. But I'm more interested in the individual product produced by those brands...not the brands themselves.

I don't derive my manhood, or my identity, or anything else, from the name on my power equipment, like so very many of the stihlheads do. (NOT all, but many.) Stihl can put out the steamiest turd of a product, yet people like you will buy it, and cheerlead for it.

What is it about the stihl name that gives some guys their boners?

The reply to #158 was contained in #135:

Nothing comes after 'Dismissed.'

Tick tock tick tock, waiting for Kawi information, waiting for the Husqvarna sell claim. If you can't produce go sit in the corner, hahaha

LOL, I know Stihl has made some not=so=great products, but I stay away from those. Since I started using OPE, Stihl has never let me down, so why switch??? All my tools fit Stihl, all my extra parts fit Stihl, all my bars and chains fit Stihl. If there is a company that can rival Stihl, fine, you use them, I'm sticking to #1.

And that pos toro you have, is just that a pos, toro hasn't made anything good in years. Don't compare the #1 blower to a pos toro, just doesn't make sense.:dizzy:

Thank ya, thank ya very much!

I believe Woodie hit the nail square on the head, with the below post....I do realize though, it's a difficult thing for some to comprehend. :D

Oh, I use Windows..We do have a Dell laptop. :dizzy:

My work computers and our main family computer are all Macs running OSX.

It's unanimous in our house, even the kids don't like the Dell running Windows. Even though there's more "games" available for it. The wife uses PC/Windows all day at work and has nothing good to say about them either. :censored:
Macs are predominant in education (K-12) and the graphics industry. PC's are the standard in the real world no matter if you like them or not. I've used a PC at work for over 10 years and I don't seem to have any issues. In my experience, the ones that tend to complain about them are the ones that are more accustomed to using Macs.

If you or the loser woodie would like to buy my OPE, I'll run whatever ya'll like.;)

I really could care less what you buy an NO I won't buy your OPE. :)

With that said....Remember that Wendy's commercial about hamburg A and hamburger B and "well it's all know"? :help:

Education, graphics, music, movies, photography.....Nope, none of that applies in the "real world" or are "real world" occupations.

Anyone willing to defend the insecure, over bloated, atrocity OS called Windows has their blinders on.....The only reason Windows is still the "standard" OS in the corporate world, is that they are so entrenched it's almost impossible to be kicked to the curb, like they should be.

Don't kid yourself, many corporation would love to do just that but for financial reasons have chose not to.....Now, more and more small businesses are switching everyday and mostly you hear nothing but praise and comments wishing they would have done it years ago.

Judgement time!

Welp time is up. Woodie you have chosen not to supply the requested information to back up your claims. Therefore by the power vested in me, the honorable Judge Roy Hall Bean, you are hear by de-classified from Husky cheerleader to senior BS'er. What you say from now on will be considered nothing more than BS whether its true or not. You have been stripped of your high moral fiber, what little you had, and are left with this:

Ever ya ever wanna try again fool call me,LOLOLOL

Bottom line for me is that I couldn't care less what you run.

I'm only concerned about what you cheerlead for here. This might be considered typical:
  1. Someone asks for recommendations for a particular piece of OPE for a particular application.
  2. You run to the Stihl catalog to see what is on offer
  3. You recommend that item as the best
  4. Someone else provides a different opinion
  5. You denigrate that brand, and all others, as being inferior to Stihl
  6. You site worthless information coughed-up by some Stihl flack about the company and it's unverifiable (and irrelevant) sales position
  7. Repeat ad infinitum
  8. ad absurdum
  9. ad nauseam
  10. ad mortem
  11. ad the point where we all want to frickin' SCREAMem

It's just kind of tiring, that's all I'm saying.

You may need to read my post again....I said PC's are the "Standard" in the real world. I didn't say they were the ONLY thing in the real world.

Until I see the huge trend of corporations moving over to MAC that you speak of, I'll continue writing windows sw.

Woodrow,

Wow! I think that BG85 caused vibrations to go from your delicate fingers, through your weak arms, into your humped shoulders, stopping to spend a long time looking for your spine, and finally, those nasty Stihl vibes found there way through your thick skull and into your brain and therefore has caused you be suffer from VIBRATE.

VIBRATE = Vibration Induced Brain Reduction And Termination Epidemic.

Please call my pretty nurse for an appointment,

dr. joat
