i bought one as i couldnt spring the extra for a 372 and i must say its a damn fine saw, pulls the 22inch it wears with ease, for a ocasional use saw i dont think you could get much better for the dollars.

365

4CI
65cc
4.6hp
13.2lbs
2,700 clutch engagement rpm
12,500 max rpm

from a chart i have......i don't guarantee the accuracy, but it seems to be ok for the specs i have checked on other saws from different sources.

i think the weight might be slightly higher.

Similar to the older 266SE. I'm very happy with my 266. The saw has never let me down. You'll like the 365.

There is not a single thing in common with a 266 other than the cc's are close. Oh, yeah- they use the same bar nuts.

The 365 is very under-rated as a workhorse. Especially a closed-port cylinder model with a Walbro carb.

365 has similar specs to the 6400! No?

Folks, I'll agree that the 365 is a good saw. I've never had one, but they always get good, positive reviews.

What puzzles me is that the Dolmar 6400 has similar specs, and has the same easy OEM upgrade path like the 365, but the 6400 is usually blasted as being "too this and that" by all but the Dolmar HomeBoys. I also submit that said Dolmar HomeBoys don't come on the 365 thread and bash the 365 as "too this and that".

Remember that "Honesty is the best policy." Some are not paying the premiums on their policies.

And, so it goes,

ole joat

I've got 3) 372's, a 362xp Special -and had a 365 (sold it on fleabay). Just finished up putting a 372 jug and piston on my 362 special (with a walbro carb) and I cant tell the diff between the 362 and the 372's. I must say that they are my favorite saws! I'm kinda kicking myself for selling the 365, (Keeps the wife happy when I sell one!:)

i did some bucking with one wearing 24" bar and stihl rsc chain, saw handled very well and pulled the chain well through 15" wood, biggest we had on hand. i thought it balanced very well. id definatly recomend them.
this saw is like the 361 only lots better in my opoin and is cheap upgrade to 75cc when the 65cc top end is wore out.

a truely do all workhorse in a fairly lightweight package , good antivibe and filtration

I've had one for a while, really a nice saw to run. I happen to prefer it to the larger 372 because I'm getting older...and it doesn't beat me up.

My humble advice? Enjoy it until it gets tired...if it EVER does. Then if your still young build it to a 372, if your not; leave it a 365.
