All funnin aside, this is a really good thing to be a part of. I am amazed at all that bought tickets and donated for litefoot and his brother. Thank you also to Darin for allowing this to happen!

Jock and Debbie were aware of the raffle and I was hoping to wait and send the entire amount in one lump sum. But they needed some immediate help, so I have already sent them $1000. When I gave them the news today, it was like taking an elephant off their chest. Debbie had a difficult upbringing as a child and she said she was so happy to be part of a "real" family. I don't think she was just talking about my family...she was referring to you all as well.
Anyway, they are receiving a little assistance locally to help them and we're going to try to use the donations to pay some of their medical expenses directly from here. Then send funds for living expenses until they run out.
Jock is recovering well from the artery surgery, but it has caused him to miss some of his speech rehab. I could tell he had regressed a bit when we talked today. I have to try and ask a lot of yes/no questions along with questions that require a longer answer so he doesn't get too frustrated. But he seems to be in good spirits. We talked college football for a bit today...one of his passions.
Anyway, I thought I'd pass along their thanks to all of you. Sorry I haven't kept you guys up with the latest news, but I've gotten so involved with administering the raffle, that I neglected that part.
