Ok, got a call today from a guy that owns a landscaping company, I sold him a 371 I built a little over a year ago, he said there is something wrong with it and wondering if I can fix it, I'm thinking hmm, I say sure what's wrong with it? He says here I'll pass you to the guy that was using it, then he says, I just started it was running then it just quit!! Now it wont turn over??? I say ok no problem drop it off I'll have a look. Now what is the first thing I check you ask??? Well let me see here. What would ol Tom Hall have to say about this!! LOL.

Can you guess which bottle here goes with the saw in question?

I'm heading out now to see what the damage is?? Its a real shame. When I did the saw, it got a new crank, crank bearings, crank seals, gasket kit, good used piston and cylinder, and I also gave it a port job.

If you decide you want to make a beast out of that let me know as I have an new OEM
52mm top end kicking aound the shop somewhere.

Can you spell straight gas!

I'll keep that in mind. How much?

The bottle on the left looks like a "trucker bomb" to me.
LOL

According to the colour of petrol in this side of the puddle, I would say the bottle with the blue "juice"?

Nope, first bottle, the one on the right is proper mixed gas.

Its weird that gas, its got a slight brown hue to it??

Ok, I just pulled the muffler and carb off, and no marks on the piston?? LOL, but that sucker is locked tighter then a skunks A55hole. Is it possible that the rod bearings locked up before there was any damage to the piston and cylinder??

Ha ha, I think he has no idea what happened. Yup you can't make something idiot proof, because they'll just make a bigger idiot!! I'll go easy on him though. Give me the saw for payment. I have a feeling he wont want to pay me to fix it. Considering now that looks like it needs a crank.

Your right. I usually hear this after I tell them what they did, "what do you mean", LOL

Ya, I haven't told him yet, I'll call him tomorrow. I'll let ya know how the story plays out.

Oh great saw wrench Tom. Have you seen a bottom end seize up before scoring the piston and cylinder?? The piston and cyl in this is untouched??? Unless it had a 4 corner seize or something?

Over here with all environmental and health regulations to every type of fuel it is added a different hue. Leaded fuel is greenish blue and after you add the 2 stroke oil, it becomes red. That's why I thought the yellow "juice" bottle would be chain oil.

I'm anxious to see what you find in there.

Me too. I want to go pull the cylinder, but I want to wait to see what the guy wants to do, before I got tear the whole saw down, if he's just taking it away, then I'll leave it alone. But maybe I should go a little further, so I don't look like an ass, if its something simple.
