I would go with an electric, Black-and-Decker to be exact.

Also buy a generator and a 25' extension cord for the deep woods cutting jobs.

Why spend the extra money on an extension cord?? I'm sure he has an old rusty wheel barrow he can toss the generator in thus making it a mobile model. The 6' cord that comes with the B&D should be sufficient.

He can spend that extra money on a tire pump in case his wheel barrow gets a flat out in the woods. Gotta be prepared.
 
Safety first. Get comfortable using this, then step up to something with more power. Look at the description: "Looks like the saw Pro loggers use!"

If you're broke dude just use this I'm pretty sure I saw it on your showroom floor. I'm sure it doesn't cost much and think of the nice smooth AV you'll get. :clap:
