Had the luck of the irish today. Finally found parts for my P35. I now have two good runners and one is complete.
Recently came accross a new old stock rewind for the P35. Still need a top cover for my other saw. The saw I got today requires chainbreak parts. This saw has serial number 1368851, my other ends in 35. All the P35 saw I have seen have the same starting numbers 13688xx.

Very very nice Jeff :jawdrop:

A friend in here told he seen a Pioneer saw in CL where he lives in PA. So I had him check it out for me.He got me a pic and I made an offer through him.He was nice enough to pick it up for me and send it down here.A fairly nice old 750 ! Thanks Adam :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: Its suppose to run?Got to fix the rope first to find out. LOL

Wow! That's amazing Jeff. One P35 is the rarest of rare.... you have 2!!:bowdown::bowdown:

Thanks Ed
I had a chance to fire one up this morning and try it out in a log. very strong running saw. Completely different sound then any other Pioneer I have run. Upright cylinder change everything. It would have been a lot heavier saw then there competition. New choke design with half choke position was a great feature.
A real pain in the butt to add fuel and bar oil. I am sure the caps would leak sooner or later.
your 750 is a very nice find. There is one on ebay at the moment with lots of photos. check out Item number: 110848183582. That should show you what colour goes where. I have seen several variation in the colour, the yellow can range from a bright yellow to a lite cream colour. They are a very hard saw to find in good condition. Most got well used.

Maximum octane

What would you recommend for maximum octane rating in the P62,P50,P20 thru P28? I can buy Sunoco 100 octane race gas without ethenol from a local dealer. I have been using 91 octane with 10% +/- ethenol in a 40/1 Stihl synthetic oil mix. I test the fuel for percentage of ethenol each time I buy, and it varies from 8% to 14% @ local stations.

No idea on the model. Comes with case. I think I will call tonight. It looks in good shape and comnes with a neat case. He's asking $40

P21/25/26 most likely. There's a plate underneath with the model number.

The air filter cover is worth $40 if it's not busted.

The model number is on the air cover. I have a NOS P20. That would be my guess, no number on the rewind. Must be an early one. Looks in great shape, grab it quick. The Pioneer case is hard to find.

Yep, that is a P20. My dad cut all the wood we used for 5 years with just one of those. I still have it, all original, except for crank seals. Still runs like a top.
