Those first pictures remind me of a taxi driver that called on the radio the other day. He said that his favorite kind of entertainment was putting the name sign sideways when waiting for someone on the airport and watch how everybody is leaning their head to read if its theirs :dizzy:

Good luck to everyone getting hit by sandy.

How did I know I was gonna get an earful.........

quitters never win ;)

Just think with the savings you can buy more saws and over time have better lung capacity to use them too. :potstir:

Stay safe all. And consider wearing your helmets when you do go out checking for hazards.

Lost power around 4pm, tree took out power line to the house!:msp_mad: I was looking out the window and saw it happen, ripped the lines off the house and now they are in my driveway. I just fired up the generator and I have phone, TV, and Internet. Lets hope I don't lose them too. Now I have 3 trees to cut up. The one that took out the power is a widow maker, 1 only lost a huge limb but on the way down it hit the tree next to it, that with the wind turned it into a leaner, it may be a 4 tree cleanup. PS I may need a electrician in CT any takers, East Haddam .

Theres a three day snow storm and blizzard warning here in SW Va. The ground is just getting white. Calling for over a foot by tomorrow evening. I've got saws ready as always. Snowblade and bucket on the TN-75. Just call me ready! :D

Good luck everyone. Be safe and try not to put yourselves in danger. This thing is going to get wicked.

Good luck man -- that part of VA is getting a big jump start on winter.

still have electric here in bel air, md. winds are starting to decrease... i had saws and a generator ready to go, but im not to upset that i didnt get to use them.

I have 5 trees down or on their way down. I grabbed my poulan 3400 and my neighbor grabbed his husky 55. Tought to say which was better mine has a fairly new 3/8 his was an almost worn out .325, but I out cut him by quit a bit. So I did most of the cutting and we cleared one tree enough to open up his driveway. I will work on it some more this week when I have time.
Here are some pics. Notice the tree top taking out the transformer, it ripped the power off my house and left it in my driveway. I need to figure out how to embed, do I need a photobucket account?

Few pictures here, flooding is some guys yard on the way home from work monday afternoon. And the tree is what I came home to monday, right after I cut that one up and cleared it another one fell about twenty feet down the road. We lost power yesterday around 530pm, neighbors tree fell and snapped the lines. Got it back around 2pm today. Down the road still without power, two poles snapped off and transformers laying on the road. Our basement has 3 sump pumps running pretty much non stop, the generator ran all night long.

The river in my area came up pretty high, the wind storm at the end of June took care of any weak trees, not too much damage in Mays Landing. My Mom lives a bit north in Galloway Twp, NJ, her streets REQUIRED a chainsaw to get down. Here's a cell phone pic, I have more to upload off of a real camera.

Sorry I haven't posted, what a #### storm. Lost my apartment, it got flooded out but I can salvage most of my stuff.(on the first floor of a house) Have no power either but hey, I'm alive and so is all of my family!

I guess being a renter instead of an owner is not so bad then. Still very hard for many people to grasp what you guys will indure over the next year plus. With winter around the corner this is really going to be tough on lots of people.

Good to hear you are ok. Good to hear the family is alright too. Hate to see all of the loss. Worst Ive seen to date was Katrina a few years back.
