Hello, hope things are well. Milled this american elm today. 4, 5/4 slabs. 3,12/4 slabs. 7, 12/4 crotch slabs.I never have milled or dried elm before so we'll see what happens. Hopefully the crotch pieces will hold together? 28 inches in dia. It was a shame to cut an elm that (as far as i could tell) wasn't dead or dying, but it was getting a little to big for it's location. My friend will probably plant 5 trees to replace it anyways! It was a good day milling in ohio! enjoy!
