Probably never, at the rate things are going. One can hope, though!

The US market doesn't seem to appreciate pro-grade saws in the 40cc class, not anywhere near as much as our European friends do. Probably has something with our tendency to slap way-too-long bars on these saws, and then end up disappointed with their performance when that bar gets buried in hardwood. Now put a 13" bar on a powerhead like that, with a nice loop of .325" round chisel chain, and you'll be a happy camper. But a 18-20" bar that the US market demands? No.

yeah. Exactly.

Saws bet sold by the inch in North America. Just look at the advertising on the cheap junk 20 inch Chainsaw with a 35cc engine

It's the equivalent of selling trucks by tire size as the only distinguishing feature

We've been told that the 241CM will definetly be coming to the US market. It will come with 3/8" picco and prolly a 14" bar. We've been told late December, possibly after the first of the year. We've been told the reason is the overwhelming demand in Europe and NZ/AUS markets.
The MS 261's will be getting the CM treatment as well but will be a running change.

So which one will come first. I would sooner have the 261.
