Stihl bar size and what does it fit?

I’m looking at an aftermarket bar and it is advertised as a large stihl “3003” series.

It is listed as fitting 044, 046, and other older saws. Will the 3003 series size bars fit my MS 400 and MS 500i?

I’ve only seen older saws listed when searching the forums and nothing for the newer saws. And info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I didn’t find anywhere on Stihl’s website listing a size or series of 3003 with the bars.
I can select my saw and it shows me what stihl brand bars will work with my saws but not aftermarket bars.

I see now when searching the D025 mount you can backtrack it and get it to cross reference easily to the 3003 style mount.

Since roughly 1959 Stihl had only had 3 bar mounts
"3005" small mount 009-025 (minus 024)
"3003" medium mount 12mm 024, 026-066 (minus 08, S10, 050, 0951)
"3002" large mount 14mm 08, S10, 050,051, 070-090

They can be found under the laser brand as well. Evilbay usually had some decent deals on them.

Lookup seller ‘ArcherPlus’ in eBay. He is an importer and a goid guy to deal with.

Pole saws are 3005 ....small mount

I did leave off the old electric saws. I think ,but not sure, the E30 took a 3002 and the others took a 3002 but I will not swear to it. I suspect, but not positive the battery saws today all take the 3005
